Identity, Religion and Culture
From her award-winning MA collection Aeternum - a study of the profound significance of mourning jewellery as “something to hold on to in times of sorrow” - Ninja created artefacts designed to heal, transforming grief into heirlooms that become part of a family’s story. Incorporating death-mask beads and poetic symbols, her work speaks the language of mourning through intricate detail and deep sentiment.

Her practice draws inspiration from the delicate Austrian petit-point technique, which she reimagined by embroidering onto metal and pearls. Blending traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge digital and virtual technology, she crafted a fashion artefact collection that bridges past and future, weaving her Eastern and Western heritage together. Her work earned her the Procter & Gamble Better Lives MA Award and secured her a place as a Jewellery and Accessory finalist at the 2020 International Talent Support, ITS 2020.
